Greener Homes Program improves Portsmouth housing

BEDFORD, N.H. - March 15, 2011 - (RealEstateRama) -- At its recent meeting, New Hampshire Housing’s Board of Directors approved the commitment of nearly $7.5 million in tax-exempt bonds, federal HOME Investment Partnership funds and Greener Home Program funds to refinance and renovate Wamesit Apartments, an aging housing development that is integral to the community of Portsmouth. In total, 100 affordable rental units will be preserved and improved.

New Hampshire Housing Recognizes Top 10 Lenders

Littleton Rental Project Receives Financing Approval

BEDFORD, N.H. - February 8, 2011 - (RealEstateRama) -- At its recent meeting, New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority’s Board of Directors approved the commitment of just over $1 million in federal HOME Investment Partnership funds that will be used to add 25 new affordable rental units to the state’s housing supply. In addition, this project will retain or create approximately 60 construction-related jobs during these challenging economic times.

NEW HAMPSHIRE awarded $2.1 MILLION

BOSTON, MA - December 24, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- The Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston announced that a Manchester initiative will receive more than $2.1 million through its Affordable Housing Program. These funds, awarded in the form of a grant, loan, and interest-rate subsidy, will be used to finance 26 units of affordable rental housing for formerly homeless veterans earning at or below 50 percent of area median income.

New Hampshire Housing receives $2 million grant
