Shea-Porter Announces Nearly $325,000 for First District Housing Assistance

Washington, D.C. – March 29, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter today announced that the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority, Dover Housing Authority, Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority, and Laconia Housing and Redevelopment Authority will receive a total of $323,414 through the FY 2009 Housing Choice Voucher – Family Self Sufficiency Program of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.  This grant program is intended to develop local strategies to coordinate the use of assistance under the Housing Choice Voucher programs with public and private resources. 

A breakdown of beneficiaries is as follows:  

-New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority: $173,894
-Dover Housing Authority: $85,000
-Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority: $44,551
-Laconia Housing and Redevelopment Authority: $19,969
