New Hampshire Housing Announces Top 10 Lenders

BEDFORD, N.H. – February 17, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority recently named its 2009 top 10 participating lenders. Altogether, these lenders closed 80% of the loans extended to low- and moderate-income first-time home buyers through the Authority’s Single Family Mortgage Program.

“The lenders we’ve named have gone above and beyond to help put more than 430 first-time buyers into a safe and affordable mortgage product. It is especially important in today’s mortgage market to have lenders who put the borrower’s long-term financial welfare first,” said Liz Lamoureux, managing director of home ownership at New Hampshire Housing. “New Hampshire Housing appreciates the hard work these lenders do on behalf of new home owners.”

  2. Residential Mortgage Services
  3. NE Moves Mortgage
  4. Regency Mortgage Corp.
  5. Schaefer Mortgage
  6. Connecticut River Bank
  7. RBS Citizens
  8. Bank of America
  9. Northway Bank
  10. Mortgage Network, Inc.

New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority is a tax exempt, public benefit corporation established by the state legislature. The Authority operates a number of programs designed to assist low- and moderate-income persons to obtain housing. Since its inception, New Hampshire Housing has helped more than 37,000 families purchase their own homes and has been instrumental in financing the creation of more than 14,000 multi-family housing units.
