MANCHESTER, N.H. – February 11, 2016 – (RealEstateRama) — U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) recently toured Wheelabrator Concord in Penacook, where she discussed renewable energy with company leadership and employees.
“I appreciated the opportunity to visit Wheelabrator’s facility in Penacook and learn more about their efforts to convert local waste into renewable energy and contribute to a well-rounded energy portfolio here in New Hampshire,” said Senator Ayotte. “We know biomass has a critical role to play in our nation’s energy portfolio and going forward I will continue my efforts to ensure all renewable energy sources, including biomass, are allowed to compete on a level playing field.”
Wheelabrator Concord’s “waste-to-energy” facility has the capacity to generate enough electricity to power 14,000 homes in New Hampshire.
