Shaheen Welcomes Clean Power Plan to Address Climate Change

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) today welcomed the administration’s announcement of new standards to be administered by the Environmental Protection Agency to address climate change by limiting carbon pollution. The Clean Power Plan, which puts in place the first-ever nationwide carbon pollution strategy, sets state-wide goals for carbon emission reduction with flexibility on how to meet those goals.

Shaheen Legislation Encourages Small Business Growth Through Energy Efficiency

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, introduced legislation to boost small business competitiveness through energy efficiency. The Small Business Energy Efficiency Act would help small businesses reduce energy costs by extending the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 504 lending program to businesses looking to invest in energy efficiency improvements

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) today introduced the Smart Manufacturing Leadership Act, legislation that would assist small- and medium-sized U.S. manufacturers in adopting what’s known as “smart manufacturing technologies.” Smart manufacturing combines information, technology and innovation, thereby allowing for real-time management of productivity, energy and costs across factories and companies.
