New Hampshire's Congressional Delegation renewed their request to the Department of Energy Inspector General to address specific concerns about the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) permitting process for interstate natural gas pipelines. The inquiry comes as the delegation continues to seek greater consideration of public comments by Granite State residents and communities potentially impacted by Kinder Morgan's proposed Northeast Energy Direct (NED) natural gas pipeline.

U.S. Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich announced more than $23.2 million in grants to support air transportation infrastructure at the airports in Taos, Artesia and Albuquerque. The U.S. Department of Transportation awarded the grants to fund airport construction and rehabilitation, and reduce pollution.

Governor Maggie Hassan and U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen today announced that seven New Hampshire projects will receive grant funding from the Northern Border Regional Commission to help spur economic and community development in the North Country.

EPA has proposed modifications to the draft General Permits for Stormwater Discharges from Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) in New Hampshire based on comments received. These proposed modifications both clarify and increase flexibility to the permit requirements by aligning it more closely with New Hampshire State Standards. The sections with the proposed modifications are now open for public comment until November 2, 2015.
