Shaheen, Ayotte Call for Expedited Release of LIHEAP Aid to Help Low-Income Families, Seniors...

In an effort to help millions of Americans who are struggling with their energy bills as winter approaches, a bipartisan group of 40 U.S. Senators, including Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) are calling on the Obama Administration to release federal heating aid funds.

SPECIAL NEEDS HOUSING COMING TO JOHN F. KENNEDY BUILDING IN CONCORD

New Hampshire Housing’s Board of Directors recently approved a $500,000 loan for Concord Housing + Redevelopment to renovate space in the John F. Kennedy public housing complex into additional apartments. The funding comes from New Hampshire Housing’s Special Needs program, which is designed to provide financing for projects serving populations that need more supportive services than are typically provided in traditional rental housing.

CATCH NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING RECEIVES FUNDING FOR SECOND PHASE OF BOW HIGHLANDS

New Hampshire Housing’s Board of Directors recently approved Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) funding for the expansion of Bow Highlands, a CATCH Neighborhood Housing development that offers affordable rents for individuals and families. Sixteen townhouse style apartments will be added to the development as a result of the funding.
