SHAHEEN: $168,500 FOR MANCHESTER HOUSING AUTHORITY GRANT A STEP FORWARD FOR HOMELESS VETS
A $168,500 grant for the Manchester Housing & Redevelopment Authority will provide permanent housing to 20 homeless veterans and is a positive step forward to battling veterans homelessness in the state, U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) said today. The supportive housing assistance is provided through the HUD (U.S. Housing and Urban Development)-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) Program, which combines rental assistance from HUD with case management and clinical services provided by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Building on their continued efforts to support American veterans, U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Chris Murphy (D-CT) today introduced legislation to increase cooperation between the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and veterans legal clinics. NEW HAMPSHIRE HOUSING APPROVES $500,000 IN FUNDING FOR NEWPORT VILLAGE APARTMENTS
BEDFORD, N.H. - May 16, 2013 - (RealEstateRama) -- New Hampshire Housing’s Board of Directors recently approved a $500,000 loan to support the renovation of Newport Village Apartments, a housing complex that offers affordable apartments for low-income families in Newport. The funding will mean the nine-building complex, which was originally built in 1982, can undergo significant renovations. The project is sponsored by the Caleb Group. The loan will be provided from federal HOME funds.
Shaheen, Ayotte: Funding Secured for New Hampshire National Guard Deployment Cycle Support Program
