NEW HAMPSHIRE HOUSING NAMES IGNATIUS MACLELLAN MANAGING DIRECTOR, HOME OWNERSHIP
Housing veteran brings experience and vision to leadership role at statewide agency.
Bedford, NH – December 29, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority today announced that Ignatius MacLellan has joined the organization as managing director, Home Ownership. MacLellan will lead the agency’s home ownership division which helps low- and moderate-income first-time buyers in the Granite State achieve their dreams of home ownership through its Single Family Mortgage Program and several other programs.
“Ignatius brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to New Hampshire Housing that will be invaluable as we move forward,” said Dean Christon, Executive Director. “His background in housing and his relationships in the industry will be true assets to our clients and partners.”
Previously, MacLellan served as vice president of public affairs for the Northern New England Housing Investment Fund (NNEHIF), a nonprofit that promotes housing and community development in Maine and New Hampshire primarily by providing equity through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program. Prior to NNEHIF, MacLellan was the director of Fannie Mae’s Northern New England Community Business Center. He also worked for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and practiced law for 13 years in the private and public sectors.
MacLellan is a graduate of Boston College and University of Maine School of Law. He also volunteers at his local food pantry and for a nonprofit that works with a community in El Salvador.
