New Hampshire Housing Names Top 10 Loan Originators

BEDFORD, N.H. – February 22, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority recently named its “Top 10” loan originators for 2010. These individuals originated more than 146 loans and generated over $23 million in first-time home buyer mortgages through the agency’s Single Family Mortgage Program.

The Single Family Mortgage Program provides affordable mortgage financing with low, fixed interest rates, low down payment requirements, and cash assistance grants. To qualify for the program, borrowers must meet certain income limits and purchase price limits.

Mortgage loan originators play an important role in the home buying process since they guide borrowers through the application process, match them up with a mortgage product, and, in some cases, work with borrowers through the loan closing.

“The loan originators we’ve named are truly committed to putting first-time buyers into a safe and affordable mortgage product,” said Liz Lamoureux, managing director of Home Ownership at New Hampshire Housing. “It is especially important in today’s mortgage market to recognize loan originators who put the borrower’s long-term financial welfare first, and New Hampshire Housing appreciates the hard work these loan originators do to help first-time buyers realize their dreams of home ownership.”
